Icons are missing from bookmarks after updating to 9.0.1 in MAC OSX. Any ideas?

Prior to the upgrade, my list of bookmarks has an icom to the left which made it easier to select the bookmark I was interested in. These are now missing and only the title of the bookmark shows.

config item image.mem.decodeondraw set to false solved the problem

I'm having this problem also after an update this am. I tried the fix, but it will not work for me.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
