Everything was alright; I had the "restore the tabs and widnows from the prvious session" selected, but today, after closing Firefox because of an error (supposedly because a game was closing, and too many things were opened), a new homepage, Gazeta.pl, opened when I opened FF again. I have never set the page to Gazeta.pl before, nor have I changed the tab restoring option in the settings. I had many tabs, 30+, opened, and all of them are lost now - I managed to recall noly about ten of them. The option doesn't work until now, despite the fact that the option is still chosen. Why is it happening? What can I do to fix it? I have read that people tried reinstalling Firefox, but it didn't help; I didn't find a solution to my problem in the end.

hello, this sounds like a problem possibly caused by adware on your pc. please go to firefox > addons > extensions & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc). also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and do a full scan of your system with the security software that you have in place and different other tools like the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner.

Remove a toolbar that has taken over your Firefox search or home page Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware

Thank you, that seems to solve my problem. I've no idea where the TroubleShooter came from, but I removed it and everything is alright now. Thanks! :)
