When I click on "Firefox" orange button Top Left Corner of the program, The Menu disappears. Not just that menu but all menus. right click anything the popup menu disappears. Click on the bookmark tab and the popup menu disappears. I was hoping this would have been fixed in Version 9. I have completely uninstalled and re-installed This will happen with a completely fresh install of Firefox with no personal settings, bookmarks, extensions. I wish there was a way to post a video of what is happening.

Chosen solution

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

In Firefox 4 and later Safe mode disables extensions and disables hardware acceleration.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

It was the hardware acceleration option. I unchecked the button and it appears to be working now.

Thanks!!
