slide show runs slow

When viewing my website http://www.portugalproperty.com/ through firefox, the browser seems to be having problems showing all images as through our photo slider as an example here: http://www.portugalproperty.com/property/villa/quinta-do-lago/enlarged/3209/

When viewed through Firefox, the image is jerky, stopping, starting, and generally not functioning to its best ability.

However when viewed through I.E or Chrome, it runs smooth as anything (as it should do).....

Please, please, please can someone tell me why this is happening, we cant seem to find the problem, and would live a solution...
