Won't retain the Home page I enter or through the process shown in the video? Why?

When trying to set the Home Page, I enter the URL and it will not retain what I put in (i.e.- re-open a window and it reverts to bearshare.com). If I follow the process on the video for setting the Home Page, it will not retain it that way either. Why???????

You probably picked up some Malware that is resetting your preference for a Homepage in Firefox either when Firefox is restarted or when Windows is booted up each day. The AskTbFWV5/3.9.1.14019 string that was added to your UserAgent would be the first thing that I would suspect, but I would suspect something related to Ask would be the URL, not bearshare.com.

Install, update, and run these programs in this order.
(Not all programs detect the same Malware.)
They are all free for personal use, but some have limited functionality in the "free mode" - but those are features you really don't need to find and remove the problem that you have.
Note: If your Malware infection is bad enough and you are mis-directed to URL's other than what is posted, you may have to use a different PC to download these programs and use a USB stick to transfer them to the afflicted PC.
