To reinstall Firefox just go to www.getfirefox.com and install it normally but first go to Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and Features then go to Mozilla Firefox and click Remove

This issue can be caused by a problem with the file c:\windows\system32\dwmapi.dll

The file dwmapi.dll is a Vista file and should not be present in Windows XP.
