After power outage, I had to reset my PC and Thunderbird is gone - says does not exist on this computer. Is there any way retrieve my emails ?

My PC is older and Windows 8. I do have a computer back up on an external hard drive.

Would my Tbird be there and how do I get back ?

look for a folder named Thunderbird. It should be in the c:\users\<yourid>\appdata\roaming folder. That is everything you need. - install thunderbird and exit - copy that Thunderbird folder to c:\users\<appdata\roaming to overwrite existing Thunderbird folder - restart thunderbird </p>
