I have dealt with this message when searching the web... after a google product search etc., the results populate- then I click on all the top results and I get nothing but this message and the sites will not open:

Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to www.googleadservices.com. PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR Error code: PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR

   The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

I noticed it's with most "Sponsored" results. Incredibly frustrating.

Please help!

No, not running Kaspersky... I did see the other forums that mentioned that. My PC is running Symantec via our IT department.

Do you use a Proxy or VPN?

You can check the connection settings.

  • Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet, select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

See "Firefox connection settings":

Try changing DNS over HTTPS (DoH) to "Off" or "Max Protection" and in Connection Settings change "Use system proxy settings" to "No proxy".
