Recently my C/Windows drive (Solid state) failed, I have the data (it was installed on the D drive of my computer) for Thunderbird however my profile as far as I can tell was stored on my now gone former C drive, I need to recover those emails as I had several personal messages from a departed friend that I had saved as well as a number of emailed receipts for travel etc for the business I am building that I need to use as write offs on my taxes. How do I recover and/or more specifically re-integrate the previous install into my current one?

I presume these are POP and/or local folders. Try this: - start thunderbird - click 'account settings' - scroll to local folders. - click the browse button to locate/select the folder on D drive Not knowing exactly what is there, you may have to try different folders, but if there are message folders there, this should make them viewable.

It worked! Thank you very much, sorry for the delay in responding I had to figure out exactly which folder had what I wanted to recover in it and then do it. Of course once it worked I had a ton of e-mails to sort though, but better that than losing it all.
