Hello: Last time before today when I sent email was 23Oct 21! What fixed it was setting the outgoing server settings to "Authentication method: Password transmitted insecurely, and Connection security: none. I got a pop-up asking for my password, and my email was sent normally. My reason for posting this is to ask if this outgoing server setting is safe to use. I haven't tried this solution before,as I am very security conscious. I am attaching a pic of the settings. Thanks!

Update, and good news,I guess. Being security conscious,I have never changed the security settings till today, and when I tried, the first email I sent since 21Oct21 was sent normally! Thunderbird asked me for my password before it sent the email, but subsequent emails didn't ask for my password. My reason for this update was to ask if I can leave the settings as they are,or what could I do for better security? (Please see attached image). Thanks!
