I am unable to make Thunderbird stop notifying me of new mail with a loud chime.

Ubuntu 20.04.1 64-bit. Thunderbird 68.10.0.

In Thunderbird Preferences > General > When new messages arrive > everything disabled In Ubuntu Settings > Notifications > Thunderbird > disabled In Ubuntu Settings > Notifications > Do not disturbed > enabled In Ubuntu Settings > Sound > System Sounds > muted

Still, a very loud chime every time there is new mail. Often. All the time.

Never mind. Calendar widget on workplace web page channels Office365 notifications in background, whether I'm looking at that page or not. Thunderbird client receives emails at the same time as the widget, so it appeared related. Disabled notifications using the Offce365 client (I'm still disinfecting) and the notifications stopped. Sorry about that.
