I am running 68.5.0, today all of the folders disappeared from the folder pane on the left of the screen. My husband was deleting the trash folder at the time. How do I restore all of our folders as they all relate to work

Many thanks sfhowes. I have finally rolled back to 68.5 and retrieved everything including my address book. So all is good in my world now. Many thanks for your help.

I have a similar problem. I am using Thunderbird imap on a MacBook Air. After TB updated to 68.8, all my old folders were gone. Well, actually a few much older folders were there, but nothing from the last five or six years. I found the files under my profiles but didn't how to recover. Then, later, when I went to Profiles, they were missing there.

I also tried a solution of installing an older version of TB (60.9.1). Very briefly, all my folders were restored, but then an automatic update began back to 68.8 and all was gone again. The next time I tried to go back to an older version, I did not get the lost folders back. I figured out how to stop the automatic update, but now my folders are nowhere to be found.

In addition, my Address Book disappeared, and every time TB is closed or Mac is rebooted, anything I reconstructed in Collected Address disappears again and only some very outdated address appear in Mac OS Addresses.

There are some very important things in my lost folders, and I would really like to recover them. Any help would be appreciated. I have an intermediate knowledge of this stuff at best so need detailed instructions.

Hi I am having a problem with TB not displaying any accounts or folders on the home page. My 6 hours of frustration have included Copying and re-naming my profile Complete re installs x 3 All the other functions seem to work. Accounts are still there and searching for messages returns the results. I have noticed every time I restart TB the View – Folders has nothing selected but when I select any option nothing happens and the selection isn’t saved if I restart. Included a shot of my home page and the error that keeps coming up Any help would be awesome. Thanks
