Thanks I checked the homepage settings, and my home page and the page for the privacy policy page were in the both listed in the settings box. I have deleted the unwanted pages.

Hi seantivenan, Firefox allows assigning multiple tabs to the "home page" setting. To test whether the home page setting might be the problem, pop up a new window using Ctrl+n or choose New Window from the menu. If you have the unwanted tabs there, it's definitely worth checking this article: How to set the home page.
