I used to get helpful opening window with several items I use often --- Google, search my own website, NY Times, for example. Then something changed that so I get a row of options that seem to be Yahoo dominated. How can I set what I want as opeing page when I go on line?

Hi, will start with this if want to keep the tiles.

Now it should not be Yahoo dominated as Mozilla is in court with Oath/Verizon on breaking the contract when Yahoo was bought and the Search Engine should now be Google.

So please make sure something does not change it back to that after you make these changes.

Now you can go back to what you had with Google, NYT, and whatever opening in tabs when you start Firefox.

You can do this by Copy/Paste about:home to the Address Bar and Enter. Remove the check marks in everything.

Go back to the top of the page and change the 1st box to Custom URL then right below put in google.com the full URL : https://www.google.com/ then follow it with a Vertical Line | then the next address NYT : https://www.nytimes.com/ followed by a Vertical Line then your next address with no vertical line after it to open 3 tabs at start up.

Now if you have Yahoo as a search engine you can change that by going to Search then set the Default Search Engine to Google and same with the 1 click by clicking on google.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

if for some reason things change back to Yahoo, please scan : https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac/ or scan anyways.
