thunderbird won't open groupon emailed links

unable to open groupon email links in message since last thunderbird update 52.9.1 (32-bit) links in other email still work. I've tried resetting actions for links to open with firefox and open with chrome neither worked. when I view source the links seem all right. I can copy and past in a browser window. I had someone with the same sort of complaint (groupon mail did not work) send me the email and they worked for me in Thunderbird. So I can only assume you are looking for an external issue such as an anti virus program or a phishing filter that does not like those mails/links.

I don't know that I have any external spam filter running. On any other email when I hover the mouse the destination shows at bottom. Just not in groupon emails any longer. As I stated above I can see the link when I view source, but it is not active within the email. I can't copy the link from the message either. I can from view source. Sorry about the formatting above. I cleared message filters, I know the message sender is not marked as junk . I really do think this happened after my last thunderbird update.. maybe it will straighten out after the next one. Thanks anyway.
