I have an email account with 8 aliases. When ceating an email i woulkd like to choose which alias to use as sender address. Not possible. Instead I must go to the account configuration an manually change the email adress of the account. Very clumsy.

If you have your aliases defined as identities in Manage Identities, with the correct Outgoing Servers, then it should simply be a matter of clicking the From: drop-down in the Write window to select the desired identity. But if they are not defined as identities, click the drop-down and select Customize From Address..., which produces the dialog in the attached picture (TB 60).
