Today my Thunderbird on Win7 64 bit began to hang at Checking mail server capabilities and even when i got rid of the account it would not download email from eircom.net, I uninstalled/rebooted/downloaded and installed fresh copy but it still the same just Checking mail server capabilities on a different acount. I added my problem account to thunderbird on a virtual 32 bit win 7 which runs on the 64 bit machine and they worked OK

I have searched and tried all solutions i have seen. Can I delete the profile and then add the email accounts again?

Thanks

Chosen solution

It's OK. I solved by deleting the profile, then setting up my accounts in TBIRD again

Thanks
