I believe I was scammed by Firefox using a $1,000 Amazon Reward card as the bait, did Mozilla approve this?

I was asked to submit a brief survey allegedly from FireFox, after entering my email it then asked the additional questions for my first name, etc..

I then closed the browser down.

hi vgrizz, mozilla or firefox are not running any surveys like this promising rewards - this is a long running scam tactic exploiting the name of well-known and trusted brands. if you still have the address of the site impersonating mozilla in your history, you can report them through https://www.mozilla.org/legal/fraud-report/

Firefox is the name of the web browser.

Mozilla does do some surveys as one can get one on this site for example however no surveys are done with rewards especially with money.

It probably was one of those ads saying Hello insert browser name user would you like insert prize if you do this survey.
