1) My passwords are listed as saved but they do not come up when I open the site requiring them. I deleted 1 in hopes that firefox would ask me if I wanted to save it the next time I opened the same program but it did not work.

2) My system is set to open at the home page, but opens at the blank page. This started a few days ago also. I've tried to reset it many times but to no luck. I have to click on the home page icon to get my tabs to show at the top. Both problens started after the last update but not sure if that's the problem?

1) Many high security sites send a "auto-fill off" to browsers. In the user field, type the first character of the name. This should bring up a choice. Note: form filling add-ons are not effected by this.

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.

Check that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Never remember history).

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use Private Browsing mode"
