Firefox 39 release states that it still supports only 32 bit builds of firefox on windows. Is 64 bit builds on windows coming anytime soon? All my research so far has not yielded any comprehensive answer. It seems like they are supported on 64 bit machines but they are not 64 bit builds. Any further insight into this will be greatly appreciated. If it is in the pipeline, any tentative dates on when this is likely to release. Thank you for your help in advance.

hello, traditionally firefox on windows has been a 32bit application until now - it runs on both windows 32bit & 64bit versions!

releasing a 64bit version of firefox for windows is a goal of mozilla, but to my knowledge there isn't a fixed schedule or eta of that product yet. at the moment all pre-release channels of firefox (nightly, dev-edition, beta) are already available in 64bit though, so it can be tested: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/beta/all/ https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/developer/all/ https://nightly.mozilla.org
