Since upgrade to ver 31, one of three accounts will not send from the selected server. Changed default account, changed default server, still sends from server associated with local files folder.

main account was default and associated with Local Folders first sub account is associated with sub folder in Lcal Folders-Inbox second sub account is associated with its own folder outside Local Folders second sub account still works as desired first sub account posts reply from main account

tried all kinds of permutations of changing outgoing server settings and creating a second identity in main account.

Ok that is just confusing.

There appear to be some perception (encouraged by the like of Comcast) that sub mail account exist.

As far as Thunderbird is concernet a mail account is a mail account. Regardless of the marketing terms used by your provider.

What I get from that is you have three accounts. Two use local folder and Therefore must be POP{ mail account an a third has its own folder.

Unfortunately none of that is really relevant to sending mail.

In your outgoing server (SMTP) entry in account setting you should have three SMTP server registered to send mail. Make sure the name of these outgoing accounts is unique and clear in meaning to you. Then click on the account name in Account settings and ensure the correct SMTP server is associated with the account for sending mails (Hence the clear unique names, it is had to pick the correct Google Mail entry from the three you have in the list.)

Thanks,

I have unintentionally opened the thread twice. The other version is also getting response. Just replied to that one with better detail of the issue, so probably better to shift to that one.

I will, however say hat there are three unique email accounts, all with the same ISP and all functioned properly on both Windows & and Linux Mint until change to 31.
