two step verification installation for mac adn iphone
I have read the instructions, but I don't know what is an applicator app, or how to scan the bar code, or how to get a verification code. I'm a senior citizen and nothing makes sense. Never had any trouble setting up 2 step verification on other accounts. help!

Firefox can only use an App or extension or password manager that can generate a six digit TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password) code that is valid for thirty seconds.
What kind of method for the second authentication use the other websites if this isn't via an Authenticator app on a mobile device (e.g. email or text message (SMS)) ? Do you own a mobile device as there are other ways to provide this code ?
