I'm attempting to switch from using Safari and Chrome to using just Firefox. I'm running the newest Firefox, and so far am pretty pleased. I just need to find a way to import logins/passwords from Safari and Chrome, or from LastPass.

I found a support topic showing that the LastPass addon has an Import to Firefox feature, but this is no longer true. Also no longer true is this support article (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/password-manager-remember-delete-change-and-import#w_managing-multiple-accounts-for-a-site) showing the Import... button in the Password Manager.

When I fired up Firefox, I chose to import data from other browsers, but this did not include logins, apparently.

Those didn't import logins for some reason. Bookmarks are a whole other issue, one which is a headache as well.

I called for more help.

Bookmarks are easy.

These instructions are for Firefox. These instructions will combine the new bookmarks with the old.

Open the Bookmarks Manager; Press the Alt or F10 key to bring up the toolbar, and select Bookmarks. Hot key is <Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> B.

Once the window is open, at the top of the page, press the button labeled Import and Backup. Select Export Bookmarks To HTML, and follow the prompts and save it to a HTML file. Copy the file to another computer. Repeat the instructions above, BUT select Import Bookmarks From HTML.

~Nope. Some get saved. Some don't. This isn't a fix.~

Actually, it doesn't do anything different that just importing from Chrome. Chrome bookmarks are still stored in the 'From Google Chrome' folder.

This is 2018. There has to be a better way for this, and for logins.
