Today, a white bar about 1 inch wide is at the top of my screen blocking the tool bar and access to other info. How do i remove it?

I have restarted my computer and closed the browser. Still there.

While scrolling around I saw something that said Firefox thinks I'm operating under 'Windows 10. NOT TRUE'. I've had Windows 11 for a while now. Does it make any difference? Russ Marshall

My screen went black this morning and I couldn't get the screen to reappear. I turned the power off, then waited a minute or two before turning it back on. My usual screen with all the apps was gone and replaced by a generic "windows" screen. I had to re-enter all kinds of information and I'm finally able to see my bookmarks, but all of my documents and pictures stored on my computer are completely gone. Did Mozilla/Firefox perform an update? And if so, how do I get back to my personalized screen - and more importantly my stored documents and pictures?!!

I cannot connect to Amazon site, says unusual payment activity, secure connection failed, and the name Stanford Health Care, that I have never heard of and have no connection to them. I need to have this corrected. Please reply. Rosalie Koire, roko8@att.net.

My microphone has recently stopped working on Firefox, and Firefox only.

It works in Chrome, Edge, and Opera.

I have tried reinstalling Firefox (and testing the mic with a clean install), reinstalling all of my audio drivers, and even changing the frequency of my Windows sound to a lower one. Nothing has worked.

My laptop is a Lenovo Slim Pro 9i (if it matters) and my microphone is an Intel Smart Array.

I have completely run out of ideas, so anything will help at this point.

Is it still possible to sing into Lockwise on my iPhone? Have attempted using two different Firefox accounts without a completed connection. After entering password the Get Started page returns asking for login

There are 32 shortcuts on my home screen - 4 rows of 8 each. However, I accidentally "dismissed" one shortcut - now there are 31 total. I cannot figure out how to restore a shortcut. Is the solution in about:config (browser.newtabpage.pinned)?

When my Firefox browser updated to version 129 I was signed out of my Mozilla account. Is this something that I can expect with each update? Or are there certain updates that may require sign back in to sync data? Is there a setting to prevent the Mozilla account sign out when updating the browser?

This morning, for the first time, I closed my Firefox browser and a whole new page showed up, mostly advertising from rightdailyfeed.com -- I didn't request this and I don't want to see it again. Did Firefox impose this content on me without asking my permission? The site I had been using was https://news.google.com/topstories; did they do this to me? How do I prevent another such intrusion of such garbage?

I'd like to be able to see the help page on audible in desktop browser and see if there is a problem with the audio sample players in firefox browser. I can still listen to the samples from my wish list but not in a general search. I can still open the help page in chrome but not Firefox and it is annoying having to switch browsers.

My email application is zmailcloud.com from Cloudiance. It has worked fine for me for years using Firefox. However, in the last week or so, when I open an email message, I cannot see anything but empty "From"and To" fields. Nothing is in the body of the message, either (see attached screenshot). But, if I open a reply or forward message, everything in the original message appears normal (see other screenshot). This problem does not occur using Micrsoft Edge, only Firefox. Anyone have any suggestions???

Until a few days ago (circa 8/8/24 ?) Google Translate worked perfectly via Firefox browser.

The same Google Translate session could be left open all day and used for multiple translations, reversing translation direction, copy/pasting into the 'source' language box or typing directly into the source language box ... whatever ... it all worked fine.

Now? I open a Google Translate in a new tab (usually English-> Thai or Thai -> English)

The FIRST translation works fine!

Any subsequent change to the same tab produces a 'Translation error' or sometimes the translation just hangs. Closing that tab and opening a new tab for Google Translate (and copy/pasting same text into it) works fine first time, but then fails on any subsequent change in exactly the same way!

Opening Google Translate in a Chrome window right next to Firefox and pasting exactly the same text into it works perfectly and the Chrome window works perfectly all day.

Looks like my Firefox version 129.0 has been stable for a while.

Is it possible Google changed something recently that now makes it difficult for Firefox to play with it?
