Hello, I did something stupid. I was trying to set up the dark/light theme via cli, and I asked openai about it.

It suggested this command:

Which resulted in the following error:

jq: parse error: Invalid numeric literal at line 1, column 11

When I opened mozilla, my profile was reset, and websites won't load (except this one!). They just hang there loading forever. My internet is fine, chromium works perfectly.

So how do I fix this and is there a way I can recover my profile? (Yes I know I should've made backups)

Starting today I am finding it extremely hard to login to some websites. All Firefox does is just sit with a spinning circle after entering a user name and it locks up the browser to a point the I have to go to the Task Manager to stop the FireFox process. I have restarted my computer and refreshed FireFox. I have scanned my computer for malware using Norton 360, Malwarebytes, MSERT, and Windows Defender and all negative. I am having no trouble signing in to a site like https://my.account.sony.com using Edge but using FireFox now is impossible. This needs to be fixed.

When I followed instructions, it sent the login file to the flash drive I designated but in an Excel format & I don't know how to print it in a readable (.doc format). Any help is greatly appreciated. bucretired@yahoo.com

I upload three iPhone photos to a Facebook album today, limiting the audience to me only. One was a panoramic photo, the other two were regular pics. When I shared the album as a public post, the pano photo got converted to a static picture, cropped to show only the center section.

Next I tried uploading the pano photo by itself to FB. It was displayed as an ultrawide (vertically short), static photo, and would not perform as I remembered pano photos doing in the past. Later, I tried again in FFx on iPhone, clicked on the photo to display it and again to enlarge it and this time the pano worked but with very poor resolution.

In desktop Ffx the phooto in the same post displays only as an ultrawide static photo.

Am I expecting too much, or is something wrong in Firefox? Thanks.

open tabs crash every few minutes. Very frustrating. This behavior just recently started. I restarted Firefox: no change. I put it in troubleshoot mode: no change. Any suggestions?

Office online will not load correctly. I've attached an example of how Excel loads. This is happening with Word as well. Cache was already cleared and the browser was reset as well.

I have reinstalled fresh firefox for like the 5th time now. It continues to not load web site pages completely. One other example, I log in to yahoo mail the page loads. I then click on the mail icon to go to the mail and NOTHING happens.

This is getting old. It only happens with firefox and not MS Edge.

Hello all! Recently my FIDO keys stopped working with Firefox. I'm running Firefox 119.0.1 on Windows 11 Pro (48GB RAM, Ryzen 3900X, RTX 2060) and it's happened for multiple sites, including Duo security and WebAuthn.io. Though I have been using my hardware keys for quite a while, I had never seen that dialogue before the past day or two ("touch your security key to begin with [X site]") and I have not had (and still do not have) similar issues when using the Brave browser (1.60.114). Typically, It would ask me to select among the verification options (using my phone, using a dedicated hardware key, or a QR code) that Windows knows, then I would be asked to insert and tap my key, but that doesn't seem to be happening anymore.

On mac I have been getting constant firefox crashes when in gmail after a minute or on other work sites. I have tried it in toubleshoot mode as well and it worked fine a little longer but still crashed. Crash IDs in attached image.

I can't access my online account from Firefox. I get the following message:

Our online banking system is currently unavailable. Please try again later. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

I can't watch YouTube videos because it says I'm using ad blockers (I disabled the ad blockers in Firefox that I didn't know had been activated, but it still won't let me watch anything but my channel.)

I can access my online account from Safari with no problems or messages.

I have a work and personal profile. On my work profile, when I go to amazon, I see the pricetag icon in the URL bar and it works as expected. However, on my personal profile, it's not showing up at all; no icon, no prompt, it's like it doesn't exist for that profile. I've restarted both profiles, and it still isn't showing up.

I'd prefer to do my shopping on my personal profile, and not my work profile. Any ideas why it's not working on one?

I have been a FF fan for almost 20 years and this is the first time sucn a phenomenon has happened. Inside Manage Cookies and Data my Storage is blank nothing is showing and yet the sites I visited are listed as well as the cookies. I have cleared everything hoping to start over would resolve this. My husband has a separate profile on our desktop computer with Windows 10 We have the same setting and yet he is not experiencing this at all. At the end of a session which is usually 1.5 hours I delete the sites that are taking up storage in the MB numbers but for the last 3 days the sites are listed again as are the cookies but under storage nothing? I have attached a screenshot there is not much there because my husband deleted all data but imagine my surprise after 1.5 hours to see all the web sites i visited listed the cookies too an zero storage? I tried to troubleshoot this but could not find anything about it on the Internet. I sincerely hope you can resolve the issue. And yes I have most recent version of FF Thank you in advance. How do I get Firefox to stop suggesting my email address, city, state or other information on lines for logins or applications? I have turned off all the autofill selections in security and privacy and it still offers suggestions. I don't want any suggestions AT ALL.

Every so often when I launch Firefox on Windows, the browser's window automatically resizes itself to fill the screen above the taskbar like the maximize button does, except it's not in that state.

I can resize it, but since this is a consistent and annoying problem I thought I'd ask for help since I haven't been able to fix this on my own.

Many of the extension are not safe even dangerous to use.

I don't know if this is a firefox or windows issue. A few weeks ago my tag line disappeared from the History>All History page. The column is available but every single page I tagged no longer has anything written in the column. I used sort by tag to keep pages I use often instead of hunting through hundreds of booked mark sites. Don't know what happened, the sites are still there but in my history but I need to be able to sort by tag. Is there a way to get the tag line back?
