How do we close this app? To totally close it out I have to force close every time. Uninstalled.

Android will automatically close Firefox if you are not using it and other apps need the resources. (This is just like the default Android browser.)

You can also install the "Quit Fennec" add-on and use the tab close button to close Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/addon/221517/
