I just downloaded Firefox 3.6.11 for Mac. It dod not sef install and when I attempted to manually install it, a message came up advising that I did not have the neccessary clearance to install it and to contact my System Administrator. Well, this is a Home Use Computer and as far as I know, I am the so called System Administrator and I have no idea what clearances Firefox requires to install.

  • Download a new copy of the Firefox program: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
  • Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re)install.
  • Install the new version that you have downloaded.
