Question I downloaded upgrade of Kapersky 2011. I always ran Firefox in safe mode. I had all my bookmarks in this mode. After I upgraded Kapersky I no longer have those bookmarks, only the bookmarks I saved in the regular mode. Is there any way I can retrieve those bookmarks that were saved in Firefox when I saved them in the "safe" mode?

See the lost bookmarks article for possible ways to recover bookmarks.

You should not always run Firefox in safe mode, that mode is intended for troubleshooting and fixing issues, not for day to day use.

Thanks for the help. As far as "safe mode" I do not mean running the computer in windows safe mode for trouble shooting. I was referring to Kapersky "safe run" option. Whereby it is a "virtual" browser.

Might be best asking Kapersky support about that issue - I suspect Kapersky might be by-passing Firefox's bookmarks system and has their own storage system for bookmarks saved in that "safemode".

BTW, there were a couple of other questions this weekend about problems with Firefox after an upgrade to Kaspersky 2011.
