Hi,

I heard firefox was a safer browsing experience so I've decided to make the move over to here :)

I just have one question though. It says in my Firefox settings that my search engine is Google. On my Google account I had specific settings on for location tracking, cookies etc. When it says it's using Google as a search engine, is there a way I can be 'signed in' to my Google account (the way you could be signed in to Google if you were using Safari on an iPhone) so that those settings will still be on while using Firefox? I'd like to continue not allowing Google to track my location and other preferences I had when I used Chrome. Or if I use Youtube in Firefox that I'd be automatically signed in to my Youtube account.

I hope this makes sense!

Thanks

Yes, you can sign-in to your Google account on any web browser. Most of Google's websites you visit will present you with the option to sign-in (usually in the top-right somewhere). For example, you can visit this page in Firefox and click the Go to Google Account button to sign-in.

You should only need to sign-in to your Google Account once in Firefox. Unless you clear your cookies or manually decide to log-out, you'll be automatically signed-in to all Google services.

This is also independent of Firefox's default search engine setting. You'll remain signed-in regardless of which default search engine you choose to use.

Google is just another website, you sign in and it will stay that way until you sign out or clear cookies. You can avoid being signed in by using a private window or container tabs.
