On Firefox startup it asks me for my Master Password.

My problem is, that the popup window is only bound to one specific Firefox window and since I've got like 6 different Firefox windows, I have to every time click through all of them to find the one, that has the popup window attached to it. This is really annoying.

I thought there was an option to turn that popup window into a actual separate window of it self, but I can no longer find that option anywhere.

Is it still possible to do that? Or has this functionality been removed?

Are you using Sync as this is a possible reason to ask for the Primary Password ? This can also happen if you (re)open a page for which you have a login saved.

Using Sync is a possible reason to ask for the Primary Password at startup. This is because the credentials to login to the Sync account are stored in the Password Manager and you need to enter the Primary Password to unlock the passwords and connect/login to the Sync account.

Yes, I'm using the Password Manager so it asks me for the password. My problem isn't the prompt it self. That's fine. My problem is that the prompt only gets displayed when I open one specific of the many Firefox windows.

An example: I've got 6 firefox windows (1,2,3,4,5,6) I launch firefox. All of the windows are now over each other for example (3,2,6,4,1,5) 5 being the top one no I minimize that window (5), now I want to work in the 1 window. There's a site that requires login but it doesn't auto complete - because I haven't yet provided the master password - because the prompt for it is hidden somewhere. Now I have to click through all the windows - 4, 6, 2 before finding this window (2) that has the master password prompt attached to it. When I focus that window (2) it displays and I can now enter my password. Then and only then I can return back to window 1 and login and continue with my work.
