I would like to tidy up my history. Previously I tried deleting all history, but I lost my website data too (eg cookies/GDPR preferences).

The alternative seems to be to delete each history entry one at a time, but it's slow.

Is there a better way to delete a lot of history without losing cookies? Or to automatically delete old history?

Thanks

If you go to settings and under the data management tab you can deselect the cookies option. This will let you delete your history while preserving your cookies.

Or alternatively if you have a Firefox account and sync your history you can go to the desktop browser to settings-privacy & security- history. Click clear history and you can choose time range for history to delete and also deselect cookies here as well to save your cookies.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Luke. Cookies are unselected so maybe the problem won't occur again.

I do have firefox sync but deleting history on the desktop does not delete them on mobile.
