I am getting emails from Facebook saying that my account was logged in from an unrecognised browser, then it says Firefox on Linux. I don't even know what Linux is. Facebook have also stopped sending me emails on my account to, probably to do with this.

This started happening about a month ago and coincides when I access Facebook from an email.

Can anyone else help please.

Linux is the same as Mac and Windows, a computer language.

As a security precaution, change your Facebook password.

Note that you should never click in a mail to go to a specific website and enter credentials (user name and password).

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.

Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.
