First you need to have the Android 2.1 update if you are still on Android 1.5 as 2.0 is a min requirement.

The cpu in phone is ARMv6 (ARM 11) as to why it is not compatible with current mobile Firefox releases which are compatible with ARMv7 cpu's.

You can perhaps try the experimental ARMv6 nightlies (Fennec).
