I have been using Firefox Focus as my primary browser on Android for a couple of weeks now and the one feature I truly miss is the Reader View. Any chance of incorporating it into a future release? For now the easiest workaround is to open the page in regular Firefox and use the Reader View there. I've also tried sharing the page to Pocket but both of these options are not as convenient as simply clicking on the Reader View button in the Title Bar.

Any comments or suggestions?

Hi Firefox Focus is unlikely to get Reader View as it is primarily designed for quick searches where history is not retained. You may want to try the full version of Firefox for Android that has both Reader View and Private Browsing available for you to use.

As stated in my original post, I am already using the full version of Firefox for Android as a workaround when I need to use the Reader View. Is it fair to assume that you are writing on behalf of the development team and that I should therefore not expect the Reader View be added to the Focus?

p.s. I was very sorry to see the drastic staff reductions announced last week at Mozilla and realize that this type of requirement is exactly the low-priority type of request that will fail make the cut. I can live with that as long as mainstream Firefox continues to receive support.
