Multimedia link sharing

more options

I'm a user of firefox browser and I recently try the firefox preview version for Android instead the normal app. I find the preview version very cool, fast and more intresting then the normal version but I have some question about the multimedia sharing options. In the Firefox app I can share all link to other app/chromecast and other device simoly hold on on the multimedia file and using the sharing option. In the preview version I can't find a solution for this problem because I can only download the file. Is it possible having a sharing option direclty on the "media menù" such as the firefox standard app? Hope to find a solution.

Hi David

I am glad to hear that you like Firefox Preview.

Looking at your screenshots, to share the link or content, tap the triangle with the circles icon which should present the sharing options.

Maybe I didn't explain well. I mean that in the standard firefox app I have the chance to share the link with the mentioned button but in the firefox preview I have only the option to save the file locally. The first screenshot is form firefox preview and the second one is form standard firefox app.

Are able to share the page and link where this is happening? This will help me to replicate the problem here and hopefully find a solution for you.

Yes I can share the page from the sharing option in the three dot menu. I can't share the link of the multimedia file from the menu that I can open with a long press.

Okay. If you can copy and paste that link into a reply to this thread, we can see what we can do to help.

It happens with all multimedia file. I used to share the direct link to a video with other device to cast the media.

That could be the case. If you look in the app settings for the version details, are they the same on both devices?

Yes It'the same version on both devices. Maybe I can try to monitor the app through USB debug but I don't know what to monitor.
