I can sign into anything except hotmail.com (the login.live.com- just sits there)

My Hotmail login continues to work ok.

I sign in manually, if you use saved passwords check they are ok, and also try signing in manually. Next try clearing your cache, if that fails to help also clear the cookies relating to the Hotmail site.
