The setting is in there to make sure that the file does not get too big, however if you open up the about:config page you can change the default.

1. In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
2. Click I'll be careful, I promise!, to continue to the about:config page.
3. search for "history"
4. the value: borowser:history_expire_days or browser:sessionhistory_max_entries

Thanks guigs2 for taking the time to answer my question, worked a treat.

I would not assume that those prefs have any affect in Firefox for Android. We don't use places.sqlite on Android, the code is much different.

I changed to number from 50 to 50000, it didn't work, still allowing only one month worth of history browsing. I rebooted the computer, and it still allows only one month worth of browsing.

Any other suggestions much appreciated!! I need to look up some important info a few months ago. May thanks.
