hello Since the 129.01 update yesterday 14-08-24, internet access for the desktop died completely. I used Microsoft Edge (don't ask what release) as a back up browser, that failed citing a DNS error.

Not knowing what to do I found a really old version of Firefox and installed that.

Things are coming back to life but I need to install v129.00 because that worked.

I had to use another computer (laptop win11) for access.

Need help so I can cancel the order for the new desktop.

Just starting up Firefox on my Windows 11 desktop initiates 9 firefox processes - see attached. Is there anyway to reduce the number of processes and the memory they seem to occupy by possibly going into the Windows registry and making changes to any Firefox configuration settings? If I dont get a satisfactory solution I will have to uninstall Firefox and use the default MS Edge which is not my preferred browser choice.

Got the following Error message today after update downloaded. "Error:Platform version '129.0.1 is not compatible with minVersion >= 129.0 maxVersion <= 129.0

Every few days I get a dialog box that says an update is available, I can either dismiss or download. There isn't any discernible difference in what happens when I click either button. Dismissing it doesn't matter, Firefox will always auto-update when it feels like it. Clicking the download button doesn't appear to do anything either... until the next day (or days later) when it tells me it needs to restart to complete the update.

Did it really take 24 hours to download the update? Or did the "download" button do nothing and it was actually the auto-update happening the next day?

I'm so so so so so so tired of my browsing session getting knee-capped and losing data. Is there any way for me to tell Firefox "yes, download and install the update, and do it right now" so I can be ready for it? Is there any way to see a progress bar somewhere so I can watch it happen and be ready for the restart?

After I accept updates for Firefox and all looks good, I must restart my laptop several times before I can use my bookmarks. Or sometimes I just have to turn the laptop on or off several times before everything gets back to normal.

Firefox is refusing to open sites I am trying to access from links in my protonmail email account. It is giving me a message saying the sites are potential threats. "pdpwbj.clicks.mlsend.com" is what it tells me is the problem.

This is something I do everyday without issue. It isn't limited to one source of emails/websites - it is all of them.

I have cleared cache and history already. Help please as I need to access these websites for my work and having to go to all the individual websites and then to search for the linked content is taking a lot of time I don't normally use because I can just load using the links.

Hi! I sometimes play 2 YouTube videos each in own browser. In FireFox it pauses the video in the browser not active. Is there a setting to keep both videos playing?

Good afternoon colleagues  have  a challenge when  visit website for library genesis http://libgen.rs/ to download a book  get the above response what can be the solution to get around this issue?Have tried in other browsers microsoft edge,chrome similar thing.

I have checked the "Always ask you where to save files" box in settings, but it is being ignored. I tried clearing the the "Save Files to" field, but that doesn't empty.

Firefox 129.0.1 (64-bit) running under Win 10 Pro on a Dell XPS 8910.

Can you (firefox dev team) team remove the fucking idiot features that auto my localhost domain to https? i typed 'localhost' and it's "https://localhost" i typed '127.0.0.1' and it's still "https:/127.0.0.1" i typed 'http://localhost' and it keep "https://localhost"

what the fucking idiot idea? i got that fucking isue over 2 years, through firefox and use chrome insteal, now i back with firefox but still got that fucking idiot thing?

I use Firefox Nightly 131, because it have vertical tabs, but why you still have a empty top bar? can I hide it?What's the difference between that and horizontal tabs? It takes up just as much space.

When I click on an email web link Firefox insists on opening a new profile rather than adding a tab to the existing page.

I cannot find any options to tell FF to open in the existing profile. This seems to be a relatively new happening.

I have a subscription to the FAZ and have always been able to read it in Firefox. Now that I have a new computer with the latest Windows 11 and the latest Firefox, I can no longer open the page https://zeitung.faz.net/. But it works fine in Google Chrome. Please tell me which settings I need to change so that I don't have to change browsers.
