Hello, I'm running FF 124.0.2 64 but in Win 10 on a PC. I have the bookmarks right across the top of the page; the sixth from the left at the moment is Seloger's website. If I have a tab open looking at a TV program website and right click on a link to see more details in a new tab, the new tab opens ok, but the TV program website is overwritten by the Seloger's website. If I use the "previous" arrows, it reverts to the TV program site. If I change the order of the bookmarks across the page, the TV program website will be overwritten by the bookmark then in the sixth from left position. This is driving me mad. How can I force FF to stay with the open tab and not change it by itself?

Hi, i formatted my pc and upgraded to windows 11 but before that i synced all my bookmarks of previous firefox to my account but after i downloaded firefox on windows 11 and signed in with my account the bookmarks doesn't import automatically but it is asking me to import from other browsers like chrome on which i have different bookmarks and i want my firefox bookmarks back why is it not seemless like google chrome.

Bought a new computer. All my toolbar bookmarks migrated across successfully. Sidebar symbol missing from the menu bar and I couldn't find where these Book Marks were at first. But then I right clicked on the menu bar, clicked on Manage Book Marks which opened a Library box and there they were. Does anyone know an easier way to access them please? When I opened Firefox web browser it did an update today, and since then I cannot find my bookmarks, sign ins or passwords. I need help here and I am not very tech savvy at over 72 years old.

How do I get my bookmarks working? I have hundreds of them over the years and now cannot access any of them. I don't know what sync or .squigle is. Please help.

Why can't I put bookmarks into folders? I've followed all the instructions but nothing works. Bookmarks cannot be created or moved to folders.

There is no option to accept only back arrow. Bookmarks never move.

Tried option to create new with same result.

Seems no way organize bookmarks in android.

I did post this before, and Paul replied (thanks) but he didn't suggest a solution. When I add bookmarks to the Firefox Focus home screen, those icons are cut off, so the label is very difficult to read. If this is a bug then I reported it earlier to Bugzilla, but if it is not a bug then how can I fix it, please? Thank you.

Hello According to this thread I set the values:

«browser.bookmarks.openInTabClosesMenu» → «false». «browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInBackground» → «true».

But when you click on "Open All in Tabs" in the bookmarks menu, it redirects to the first tab to open, that is, the value "browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInBackground" does not work.

Why doesn't the Bookmarks toolbar go directly to my Bookmarks? When I click on Bookmarks on the menu bar, I then have to click on Bookmarks Toolbar folder to display them. That REALLY SUCKS! Why can't you leave anything alone? You make things worse, not better. What used to be one click is now two. Windows 11 Pro Version 10.0.22631 Build 22631

previously I added bookmarks to a menu bar at top of firefox. Now I have a bar that displays 2 bookmarks than a >>. I cannot expand this limited display or create a menu to display bookmarks though I can see them by clicking on the >>. Non of the menu suggestions is a fix.

Does anyone know how to control this and get me a more useful bookmarks menu display?

I had a set of Firefox bookmarks but when I signed into my Firefox on my Surface Pro 3, Firefox automatically imported my Chrome browser. I went back to the library to restore it and the old version was not there.

How do I get my Firefox bookmarks back. I tried to get them from my Android phone and it also has the wrong bookmarks.

My rig: MacMini 2018. Macosx 13 Ventura. Safari browser.

Safari can export an HTML file for bookmarks and a CSV file for passwords. I saved them to my desktop. Trying every way I can in Firefox, FFox won't accept these file extensions. What is it looking for?

What am I missing? Seems to be no 2024 routine for this online. I'm probably in dark about something obvious.

I'm trying to sync my bookmarks from my old (samsung S9+, firefox version 126.0.1) to my laptop & new phone (samsung S21+). On the old phone all the articles (specifically https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-set-firefox-sync-firefox-android#mobile::m126) say hit the 3 dots from the firefox search screen, tap "Sync and save your data". Well, I don't see that option.

On the laptop I see the 2D bar code, just can't scan it on the phone.

Any clues?

Hey y'all, I just closed Firefox and tried to open in up again a few minutes later. The icon in my taskbar threw an error saying it couldn't find the executable. I typed Firefox into the run dialog and FF came up but has no icons on the home screen, zeroed out my bookmarks bar below the URL field and deleted all my bookmarks (100s).

I went into the User/../../Mozilla folder system and found a folder called bookmarksBackup or something similar. It was completely empty.

Any chance these were saved somewhere else as well?

On my Tablet, the Bookmarks have decided to split into two folders :Bookmarks and Other Bookmarks. Not what I want. Is there any way that I can get them to combine to just Bookmarks?

My PC froze and had no choice but to reload win 10. After doing so I had the choice to download win 11 for free which I did. When I download Firefox all of my bookmarks were missing. I have tried to follow your instructions to retrieve them i.e. Troubleshooting... Application Basics ... Profile Folder...Open Folder... which opened >>> C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\42o9xo83.default-release . Sadly, I am not a Teckie and I do not have a clue what the next move is to get my bookmarks back.
