Hey Folks. I have a couple of questions about email threading. I did try to search this before I posted

1) I have such long email chains that when threaded, the email at the bottom (new email) gets hidden behind the next column. I would like to change the order so that

• A)new emails go to the top of the inbox list (or the whole chain does)
• B) inside the thread, the new email is at the top of the list, so that the old emails are pushed under the next column instead.

I tried changing some of the "mailnews...." settings from 1 to 2 and 18 to 21, but they didnt really have the effect I thought they would.

Also, Im not sure why, but sometimes a member will reply to the thread, change the subject line, and send a new email. So the new email has remnants of the old thread, but a different subject. For some reason, these emails are placed in the original chain, however indented more to the left, instead of being placed in a a new chain. Is there a way to change this so that a new subject has its own chain?

I wanted to disable the prefetching/preloaad pages and I found some entries on about:config that I had to change. Some of those are here on the official support site and some not, I found them on another forum.

Here's the list: network.prefetch-next (false)

network.dns.disablePrefetch (false)

network.dns.disablePrefetch.FromHTTPS (false)

network.http.speculative-parallel-limit (0)

browser.urlbar.speculativeConnect.enabled (false)

So, my questions are: 1. All these expect one "browser.urlbar.speculativeConnect.enabled" are available on android (nightly). Is there and i can't find it or it's indeed not available ??

2. Is the "network.http.speculative-parallel-limit" works only for http or it works and for https as well ?? Is there some setting to geti it to work for https if it doesn't ??

3. Is true that the "network.dns.disablePrefetch" and/or "network.dns.disablePrefetch.FromHTTPS" doesn't work (if i disable it) if i have turned on the dns over https ??

4. Are there other settings that I need to configurate or I'm good with these ??

When I hover over tabs, Firefox also displays a text below. So, for example, if I hover over the tab for Google Calendar, a text below shows 'Google Calender - August 2024'. Can I disable the text somehow?

Hello, If you could explain what happen that caused my emails below a given point, having been received before the emails above said given point (about 20 emails ) will not open as usual, but instead I need to open in a different tab after right clicking. If I go to "conversations" I can see my incoming email. Hope that sort of explains the problem that I don't understand? Thanks for any help. Lee

How to completely reset Thunderbird preferences except for configured accounts? I mean all visualization preferences, menus, themes, buttons, whatever. But don't touch e-mail accounts.

As per this archived question: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1386828 I want to turn off junk filtering completely. Like the poster on the above mentioned question, I have done everything suggested, but Thunderbird still puts messages into the Junk folder. How can I achieve this? I have calendars and contacts in iCloud and Google. These were synchronized to Outlook on my PC. Any changes made in any of these three (3) were synchronized to the others.

Now that Thunderbird has replaced Outlook, I am looking for the same functionality. I have iCloud and Google calendars and contacts synced to Thunderbird, and updates show up on Thunderbird. Sadly, not across to the other platform, ie. iCloud updates to Google or vice versa.

Any suggestions on how I may get this setup would be much appreciated.

I have constant problems with logging into my three outlook accounts. I'm learning that Microsoft requires new information. I've read and tried information I have found on outside sources, but nothing is working. Also, I deleted a password for one account and now, I cannot see, read, or access that account (Thunderbird is not sending the request for the password.)

I am reaching out to gain information on ADMX GPO policies. We are retiring Policy Pak which used to add all the policies and secure Firefox for Enterprise. What we noticed is that Policy Pak used the app set to apply these policies and we are noticing that native GPO's for the most part to match the Policy Pak policies is not as accurate for GPO's My ask here is there any Most Viable Product suggestions to apply Native GPO's for securing Firefox.

I have folders that i save my bills etc but when i go to check them they are empty. This has only recently happened, could an update cause the problem . 'bold te xt'

I was trying to edit my bookmarks on firefox mobile but I noticed that I wasn't able to manually move a bookmark (putting it one block higher/lower) nor am I able to highlight more than one page to put in a folder or put it higher/lower. It seems like a really simple feature yet it's still not implemented.

The only thing I can do when I highlight more than 1 page is that it allows me to open them both in a new tab/private tab or delete them both.

A few days ago, on Firefox (been using for many years) middle clicking on a YouTube thumb nail video results in an "Video unavailable This content isn’t available" message. Must left click and and can only have one tab open at a time. Even when my wife emails me a link to see something on You Tube it will not open that video. This is very annoying involving copy and pasting and back tracking.

Searching for a solution, I can deselect video previews in YouTube settings (which I don't need anyway), however this only works in Chrome not in Firefox which is my preferred browser.

Maybe this can be corrected in either a Firefox or YouTube update.
