First confirm that the laptop is connected to the internet:
Command Prompt > "ping 8.8.8.8".
If you get a reply try starting your laptop in safe mode with networking, download the installer for your desired browser and attempt to reinstall it.
If you do not get a reply then revise your internet connection settings.

Ping works fine, i also restarted firefox and it still didnt work
Also, other browsers(like internet explorer and chrome) also cant open anything, so i cant download the installer and such
You have tried in safe mode with networking?
Ive tried using safe mode and still doesnt want to open anything
update your FF version than disable all the add-on. Also disable your firewall both from windows and anti-virus.
Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.
Under Advanced, Select Network. Look for Configure How Firefox Connects and press the Settings button. Check the settings.
Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
- Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
- Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see
Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}

My firefox is up to date when this threat started. Remember, im experiencing this problem with all my browsers, not just firefox
Unplug your external modem power. Wait 20 seconds, Reconnect.
Contact your ISP and have them test your service.
The internet works fine, my other computer and my ipad can browse normally, the problem is in the laptop i think
Check the laptop and firewall.
Some laptops have an external hard switch. Also open your network control panel. Check ALL settings.
Open the Firewall. Some have a kind of master cutoff switch. Remove ALL rules for Every program.
Firefox gives a very brief connecting sign when i try to search or open a website, after that the connecting goes away and it turns into new tab again
Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.
Under Advanced, Select Network. Look for Configure How Firefox Connects and press the Settings button. Check the settings.
Its set on auto detect proxy settings for this network, everything else is unticked
It doesnt seem to want to switch to anything else, i try no proxy then ok'd it, next time i went there its set on auto detect again, is that normal?
Have you a user.js in %AppData%\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\????????.default (where ???????? is your profile) If so delete it or rename it.
Agreed, remove that file, then try again.

Book mark and use this; Download the Mozilla Search Reset {web link} This add-on is very simple: on installation, it backs up and then resets your search preferences and home page to their default values, and then uninstalls itself. This affects the search bar, URL bar searches, and the home page.
Settings Guard for Firefox {web link} Detects and resets changes to settings that are frequently done by add-ons and application installers.
I had 2 something.defaults there,n firefox said the first one was its profile, i deleted it and firefox wont start, so i undo'd it, and i deleted the second one, firefox starts but still wont save the stuff i tried to change in the settings, and i still cant browse anything, meaning i cant download
My laptop wont start after it makes an update(update to the laptop, not firefox or windows 7 to 8 or something like that), so i made my laptop to never search for updates, does that have a connection with my problem?
I was finally able to set no proxy, but it still wont browse anything, internet explorer doesnt want to browse either
