I tried sending an email to my brother containing photographs that I'd found from 65 years ago. I received a "Sending of message failed" result. The message suggested that the email was spam. It is NOT spam, it just contains photographs of my brother from 65 years ago when we lived at a house called Sunnyside. What is making Thunderbird think that it is spam? How can I overcome this false assumption?

Try sending the message with no attachments to verify that your email is working okay. Is your brother using gmail? It may be that your domain is being blocked as suspicious.

Sent successfully after deleting attachments. I am using Utility warehouse (@uwclub.net) and my brother is using gmail. I haven't had any problems before. I even tried renaming attachments from Sunnyside001, etc, to Photo 1, etc, but Thunderbird still thought it was spam.

I do know that Gmail is particular about what it receives and from which servers it accepts. The problem is not related to your naming of images, nor to the fact that they are jpg, as that is acceptable. You might try again to see if you get a more understandable message. Maybe send messages separately.
