When editing a contact in Thunderbird's address book, the 'OK' button does not close the properties pop-up window. In order to close the window, I have to select 'Cancel'. This behavior seems out-of-sync with standard pop-up window actions.

Thunderbird version: 45.2.0

I'm not aware of such a problem. Does it go away if you start Thunderbird in safe mode using https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird

The problem remains even when started in 'Safe Mode'.

By the Way, I am on OS X 10.11.5

It might be a corrupted address book, the main symptom of which is the inability to delete or edit contacts. If it's Personal Address Book, export it to an LDIF file (Tools/Export/Save as type: LDIF, name the file), then select Help/Troubleshooting Information, click Show Folder to open the profile folder, exit TB, delete or rename abook.mab, restart TB, import the LDIF file (Tools/Import...Address books...LDIF files...select the LDIF file).

If the imported address book works properly, you can drag the contacts onto the Personal Address Book icon to move them there.
