Hi, I am looking for a program to have for 110 members of our fire department have an email address with their name @our domain. Is this something your program does? We need it for two reasons , one is to log onto online training courses where we all have the same domain, the second is to send out email to the group. Thanks

Hi martymande, this may be implicit from the first reply, but to be clear:

Mozilla, the maker of Thunderbird, doesn't supply email accounts.

Thunderbird is an email program for users to send and receive messages. It is not an email administration tool, and it would be poorly suited to shared usage by 100 people. But if individual employees prefer to use a stand-alone program instead of checking their messages in a browser, Thunderbird might be right for them.

Do you already have a domain, is it hosted somewhere, and does your host offer imap or pop email for multiple users using your domain? If you can get it hosted, thunderbird can be used to access it.

You can also have your email hosted separately from your website using the same domain name. Google G Suite is an option, though it isn't easy to set up or administer. It is a first-rate solution with spam filtering, though.
