So I use various blocking add ons, which means when I come across a new website I need to whitelist various things, but every so often the add-on's menus are just not there. The add on is clearly doing its job, hence my need to whitelist some stuff, but my menu is not there and I have to restart Firefox and just hope that the menus will be restored. Its hit and miss too, which is kinda infuriating.

Hi tremault, I haven't tried using any content blocking extensions on Android, so this is a new issue to me.

Where do the menus usually integrate? For example, main menu, long press context menu, etc.

Some extension developers have a suppor site or a Github page where they gather information on bugs, including both bugs in their code and Firefox bugs affecting their extensions. That would be worth checking.

I don't know how to explain this but it's the 3 dots on the upper right corner. in that menu there are many things. there are 2 add-ons that should be at the bottom of that menu, noscript and cookie blocker. they are at the bottom underneath Help. or at least they should be. often times, help is the last menu item and I can't access the add-ons' white-list functions.

Thanks for the info. I don't know what would cause that.

Does it make any difference if you disable and re-enable the add-ons at that point? That might not be any more convenient than quitting Firefox...

thanks for the suggestion, I had to wait a little while for it to happen again, as I don't always use my mobile, so when it did happen again, I disabled and enabled the add-ons and the menu settings were there. So I guess, this means the add-ons are not being loaded properly. I'm not sure what I can do about this, I actually recently reinstalled firefox because of a broken add-on that stopped me from doing anything at all in firefox, couldn't even use the settings menu. I don't want to have to do it again if possible.
