Address bar not working and doesn't autocomplete. File places.sqlite is not corrupt.

Since the last update, to Firefox 49 and 50, the address bar stopped working. First it wouldn't autocomplete with my browsing history, and now it doesn't even let me enter websites. I've checked the places.sqlite file and it's not corrupt. I've also tried to disable hardware acceleration, but it does nothing as well. However, I started Firefox in safe mode and it works fine. What should be the problem here?

Hi, since it works in Safe Mode, that points to an add-on or theme that is incompatible.

Start Firefox normally, then disable any theme and add-ons one by one until you find the culprit - Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A) > Appearance/Extensions. You may need to restart Firefox after disabling some of them.

Well, apparently it was indeed from an extra which the developer abandoned. Now I feel kind of stupid for not having tried to check that before. Thank you for the help.
