Bookmarks Safari 5.0.5 will not import into Firefox 17.0 with Mac OS 10.6.8

I am on Mac OS 10.6.8. When trying to import bookmarks from Safari 5.0.5, they will not import/display into Firefox 17.0.

I have tried the following from the bookmark menu:

Import Bookmarks from HTML... Import Data from Another Browser...

No bookmarks display when I click ok for each, even after quitting and restarting firefox.

Am I doing something wrong?

Hello nureste, try the next : open Safari> File > Export Bookmarks and save the html file in your choice location, then open firefox, and as you known, Import Bookmarks from HTML... choose the html file with the safari bookmarks.

Thanks ideato, but I have exported the bookmarks from Safari per those directions. Still, when I choose the bookmark html file and click open, no bookmarks display.

Any other suggestions?
