Hi, I use Facebook and Instagram through a browser. However, ever since the (forced) "upgrade" to version 79.0.5, neither site seems to allow me to upload media anymore. Can anyone explain to me how to get FF to allow uploading again, or otherwise explain to me this is a "feature"? I'm nearing the point of abandoning FF for all the - widely reported - problems with the latest version for Android. Bo

I just removed the Camera permission from FF for obvious (at least I thought so) privacy reasons and... the upload problem reappeared

Hey Bo,

What happens when you try to upload media? Are you prompted to pick a file to upload? Does your file manager open? Do you get any sort of error message when trying to upload?

Thanks

Hi Matt, If I click on any upload link or button on Facebook, Instagram or the Firefox Support Forum, nothing happens, as if the link or button is not active. I suspect that the scripts specified by the action of the upload links/buttons are blocked somewhere by FF.

Uninstalling and reinstalling FF 79.0.5 solved the upload problem. I guess FF 79.0.5 did not like my old configuration settings when it imported them from the old FF 68 installation, and given FF 79 has very limited configuration support, I could not resolve the issue in a more elegant way. I hope Mozilla will pick this problem up in future versions.
