Firefox for Android (4.2.2) - what are the problems with website presentation?

For the vast majority of websites viewed Firefox for Android does a great job. But for just a few websites there are the following two problems - either the website opens but with not all the content properly presented (buttons missing, menus not responding, formatting wrong), or Firefox for Android crashes when video and/or flash on the chosen website is activated. As video works perfectly on other websites I can only guess that there is something about some websites that Firefox for Android is not happy with...

Furthermore, the correctly installed Flash Player for android 4.0 from the Adobe Archive (11.1.115.81) always crashes as well.

(YouTube works perfectly, by the way!)

What checks can I make, or what settings can I change, to cure this problem?

For the vast majority of websites viewed Firefox for Android does a great job. But for just a few websites there are the following two problems - either the website opens but with not all the content properly presented (buttons missing, menus not responding, formatting wrong), or Firefox for Android crashes when video and/or flash on the chosen website is activated. As video works perfectly on other websites I can only guess that there is something about some websites that Firefox for Android is not happy with... For the first: not all the content properly presented (buttons missing, menus not responding, formatting wrong), This will depend on the website. Buttons and menus can be designed to use javascript and the formatting can be dynamic depending on the plethora of screensizes that the web designers planned for the website to be viewed by.

This will also depend on the website. Some sites will have an embedded video player and others will use the installed video player. Flash compatibility is also related to the hardware of the device. It needs an ARM7 at the top of my head.


What we can try to do to change this. Try a different video player for the sites giving issues. If its possible to download a local copy and watch the video on the video player of choice. It is also an option to try to request the desktop site of some of the sites not loading well. If the site detects a default player you can try VLC.

I have the same problem, and I this problem for occurred with Firefox support website, I tried to use Firefox support website from my phone and I the problem occurerd.

And all websites that didn't work well on Firefox, works on Google Chrome.

I had problems with Playstation Store website too, on authentication and content didn't present ok.
