Since firefox update I have this message that will not go away: Browser settings change an unknown change was detected on your browser's search settings.

What happens if you use the first option ?

I remember reading about a change with browser settings and a user notification but was not aware it is in Firefox 18, I will check


P.S it will be a change this week when Firefox 19 is released

i do not see that as a change in Firefox 18.

Try using this add-on (I think it installs an then goes away)

when I choose option 1, nothing happens Also, the message does not indicate a firefox or mozilla message.
